Virginia M. Turcotte, 96, of Skowhegan died on Monday March 18, 2013 at Woodlawn Rehab and Nursing Center in Skowhegan, Maine. She was born in Skowhegan on January 27, 1917, the daughter of Joseph P. and Clara (Barriault) Turcotte. She was a graduate of Notre Dame De Lourdes School, class of 1930, and of Skowhegan High School, class of 1934. She was employed by: The First National Bank of Skowhegan/ Depositors Trust Company; by various attorneys in Skowhegan; by Wentworth & Plummer Insurance Agency and by William Philbrick. She retired in 1977. She is survived by her niece Helen Flewelling and her husband Robert of Skowhegan, her niece in-law; Sonya Turcotte wife of the late Robert J. Turcotte of Lewiston, many grand nieces and nephews, several great-grand-nieces and nephews, and several great-great-grand nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father and mother, her sister Anna T. Goodrich, and her husband, Gerald C. Goodrich; her brother, Thomas J. Turcotte, and his wife, Georgianna C. Turcotte; her brothers, Arthur J. Turcotte and George J. Turcotte; and her nephew Robert J. Turcotte. Visiting hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday March 21, 2013, at Smart & Edwards Funeral Home, 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan, Maine. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday March 22, 2013 at 10 a.m. with Father John Mazzei officiating. Interment will be held in spring at Calvary Cemetery in Skowhegan, Maine.
