Skowhegan- Victor H. Fanjoy, 75, of Skowhegan, died Feb. 24, 2014 at Redington-Fairview General Hospital. Born Nov. 12, 1938 in Harmony, ME, he was the son of Kenneth P. & Freda (Lawler) Fanjoy.

Victor married Linda Corson on Jan. 24, 1959 in Skowhegan, ME. He worked at Madison Paper until his retirement in 1994.

Victor loved spending time with his family at camp and especially enjoyed his time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, driving his bull-dozer, finding enjoyment in tractors and all large machinery. He liked to fish, work on automobiles, and collected moose memorabilia. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor and his endless joking.

He was predeceased by his parents and several aunts and uncles.

Victor is survived by his wife of 55 years, Linda of Skowhegan, 2 children, Sharon Lemieux and her husband Dana of Skowhegan and Steve Fanjoy and his finance, Rebecca Stevens of Bingham, 7 grandchildren, Paul Guimont, Jessica Lemieux, Steven Fanjoy, Elizabeth Campbell, Donald Prescott, Bradley Prescott, and Aaron Prescott, 11 great grandchildren, 3 brothers, Lyman Fanjoy and his wife Brenda of Pittsfield, Nelson Fanjoy and his wife Linda of Burnham, and Robert Fanjoy of Newport, 1 sister, Katherine Timberlake of Newport, 1 brother-in-law, Gerald Knowles of Skowhegan, 3 sister-in-laws, Mary Miller and her husband Lawrence of Norridgewock, Judy Mantor and her husband Dan of Madison, and Donna Parlin and her husband Ricky of Mercer, 2 uncles, James Lawler and Hector Lawler and his wife Esther, 2 aunts, Eva Butler and Wanita Withee, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visiting hours will be held Friday Feb. 28th from 5-7PM at Smart & Edwards Funeral Home, 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan, ME. The funeral will be held Sat. March 1st at 11AM at the funeral home with Rev. Mark Tanner officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in the spring at Fairview Cemetery in Canaan.
