Everett C. Helie, 76, of Skowhegan passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday May 25, 2017 in Skowhegan, Maine. He was born January 15, 1941 in Providence, Rhode Island, the son of Charles Andrew and Florence (Andrews) Helie. Everett graduated from Prospect Mountain High school in Alton, New Hampshire in the class of 1959. He served in the US Navy . Everett married Carol Ann Marcoux in August of 1964. He worked for General Motors Corporation and worked for a subsidiary of Collins and Ackman working in production for 36 years. He was a past member of the V.F.W. in Milton, NH, an avid fisherman, and a past member of horse shoe league in Farmington, NH. He also loved the time he spent with his family and enjoyed playing cards especially poker. He leaves his wife Carol Ann of 56 years of Skowhegan, his son Michael Helie of Skowhegan and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, his son Scott Helie and his brother John Helie. There will be no services held at this time. Arrangements are under the care of Smart & Edwards Funeral Home, 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan, Maine.
