Obituary

Ernestine S. Beaulier, 99, formerly of Skowhegan, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully at the Epsom Healthcare Center in Epsom, NH on February 18, 2012. Born in St. Agatha, ME on May 27, 1912 she was the daughter of Oliver and Euphemie Sylvain and the last surviving of ten children. She was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Paul N. Beaulier, in 1990.

Ernestine attended Mount Merci Academy and graduated from the Skowhegan Business School after raising her family. She was the Assistant Registrar of Deeds for Somerset County for 19 years, retiring in 1972. Ernestine was a member of the Daughters of Isabella and the Ladies of St. Ann, The Skowhegan Women’s Club and the Town Improvement Society. In 1988 she and her husband Paul moved to Auburn, Maine where she enjoyed many happy days with her neighbors. In 2002 she moved to NH to be close to her daughter and family. Survivors include her three children, daughters Jacqueline Winckler and husband Paul of Sanbornville, NH, Paula Paulson of Petersburg, NY, and son William and wife Trina of Mt. Vernon, ME; ten grandchildren: Betsey Rogers, Ronald Winckler, Sally Francis, Andrew Paulson, Amy Baldinelli, Meggen Beaulier, Jed Beaulier, Jonathan Beaulier, Liza Rao and Katherine Beaulier, and sixteen great grandchildren: Jackson and Sadie Rogers, Anna and Samuel Francis, Leah and Keri Paulson, Morgan, Caleb, Carter, and Emma Baldinelli, Jacob, Tyler, and Christopher Beaulier, Bennett and Tate Beaulier, and Kalyani Rao. A burial and memorial service will be scheduled in the spring. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Smart & Edwards Funeral Home, 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan, Maine.
