Hart, Arleen M., 89, of Norridgewock, died at her home with her family by side on March 16, 2016. Born May 5, 1926 in Joliet, IL, she was the daughter of Arlie C. and Ruth (Crate) Yonker.

Arleen graduated from Burlington High School, Burlington N.J., in the class of 1944. Arleen married Albert V. Hart on Nov. 1, 1946 in Beverly, N.J. She owned and operated Arleen’s Hair Care in Beverly, N.J. for 35 years and taught ceramics. In 1989 Arleen and Albert moved to Maine where she and her husband lived during the summer and wintered in Florida. She was life-long member of the Order of Eastern Star, a past member of the New Jersey Traveling Campers, was an avid quilter, and enjoyed crocheting, along with canning and pickling home-grown vegetables which she shared with family and friends. She owned and intensively loved 5 Boston Terrier’s.

Arleen was predeceased by her husband Albert in 2015, her parents, and one brother, Clintion R. Yonker.

She is survived by one son, Allan Hart and his wife Sarah of Canaan.

A funeral service will be held March 21, 2016 at 2:00PM at Smart & Edwards Funeral Home, 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan. A burial will take place at Pinegrove Cemetery in Hartland at a later date.
